I know it’s late…..way late. I apologize. After Andrew and I got back from our trip I just got busy (and lazy) and didn’t post a report like I should have. And what makes it all worse is that if you don’t already know there was some big news on this trip……Andrew killed a very big whitetail buck.

A Live Report From the Stand |

I’m not sure if I should admit this or not…but I guess I will. I’m typing this from my deer stand. It’s opening evening of Texas gun season and I’m sitting in a ladder stand 15 foot off the ground. I’m glad no one is here to take a photo because I’d probably never live it down. |

As expected the opening of the Oklahoma gun season was exciting, we saw a ton of deer, and it was a great trip, as always. Unfortunately, I didn’t bring anything back that gives me a reason to pay my taxidermist anymore money this year. |

My Bags Are Packed and the Truck is Loaded |

If everything goes as planned we will be heading north towards Oklahoma at about 5:30 a.m. tomorrow morning. Andrew and I are making our annual trek to NW Oklahoma once again in our quest for big whitetails. |
